Accommodations
The aft master cabin is dominated by a 6'6" x 5' double berth, with a good-sized toile/shower compartment complete with washbasin tucked into the starboard corner. There is plenty of cupboard and drawer storage all well finished with additional bulky item storage under the double berth.
Forward of the saloon, at a lower level is the galley which is still very much part of the large social saloon area, but will any clutter remaining hidden from those taking it easy on the settees. The galley is a practical U-shape arrangement with tiled work surfaces, a three burner hob, and a built-in oven/grill adjacent to a sink and drainer. Outboard is a handy array of perspex-front cupboards and beneath the work surface is a useful mixture of variously sized cupboards and drawers as well as a fridge. A run of shelves is also incorporated in the half-bulkhead between the galley and the saloon.
Opposite is a second toilet/shower compartment, with a sink unit. The compartment is part moulded, with some neat design detail, for example endeavoring to keep the towel rail and toilet roll holder out of the showers firing line.
The forward cabin a;sp has its own vanity unit, with a typical v-berth layout. The Sovereign 34's generous beam makes this cabin larger than expected with each berth measuring a very usable 6'"2 x 2'4". There is plenty of storage space available behind and under the bunks plus a hanging locker.
