Description
Custom-built superstructure built largely of solid varnished teak and internal fit-out by Bill Smith (Shipwright of Lymington) to a design by Marine Architect Sandy Balfour, on a Mitchell 22 Sea Angler hull with iroko bilge keels. Originally designed for coastal fishing and estuary-hopping around the Solent, "Green Parrot" was relocated to the upper Thames in 1994.
FORWARD CABIN - 2x bunks in a v-arrangement reaching into the bow with opening roof hatch and side windows; there is also storage shelves and some under bunk storage; 12v lighting and opening bulkhead door.
GALLEY – set to starboard featuring a 2-burner hob with grill, burns Butane gas positioned in a watertight hatch in the stern locker with storage locker beneath; ventilation and fire blanket.
HEADS & Shower – situated opposite the galley to port featuring a porta potti 165 chemical toilet, large s/s sink which also serves the galley, H&C mixer tap and extending shower head; there is some locker and shelving space in this area plus a cabin window.
MAIN Cockpit area – a wide and open area, half covered by the hard top of the wheelhouse; the remainder of the cockpit is covered with a 3-piece pram-style hood, furnished with water resistant upholstery and providing a good deal of space for comfortable entertaining; a portable 24/12v fridge is built into the cockpit seating arrangement; the solid wheelhouse has large forward and side screens, giving fantastic visibility.
